I have responded in some way to all of the speakers so far. But Tara Brach struck me deep with the brilliance of her gorgeous soul and her brimming cup of wisdom. Thank you, Melli, for bringing such a wise teacher before us today!

Thank you again Tara. Tara is my biggest teacher and I’m so happy that I’m able to have learned and keep on learning so much from her threw her dharma talks, podcasts, books and mediations. They really pulled me trough quite difficult times.

I went to listen to Day 8 and received the message that I had to donate. Free for 31 days right? I have learned so much I would’ve happy to donate, but I don’t like being told how much. Seems like Deceptive Advertising to me.

I have it watched twice now. First time I started sobbing as it struck a lot of cords. It felt like Tara was talking to me knowing my lifelong struggle, my inner battle, that has cost me so much energy and I had just no idea what was going on.
Today a few days later I already feel so much better, because I feel understood, not alone with it and knowing there is a way out of the self created misery, that I have a choice: very empowering!
    Thank you!

What an amazing talk. I was so very touched by it. It affected me much like the first time i practiced lovingkindness meditation. Then as now i felt like i had been looking all my life for the release as well as the realisation that everything i need to be happy is inside of me. That love is real and that the connections with other people are profound.

I am moved and touched by the comments and how widespread emotional pain is. Decades ago there was a book, I’m OK, you’re OK. The book and the idea was basically self-acceptance. It’s hard to love yourself if you can’t accept yourself. And you know that you’re not perfect, far from it, but you are okay. And this is the beginning of self-knowledge and self-awareness; and you understand that the world is the same way. Long before I had heard about meditation of mindfulness, it was clear to me so long ago, then, that there can be no happiness without self- acceptance. So I went around for a couple of years telling myself that I’m OK, even though I didn’t believe it or want to believe it. But as in so many habits and skills, there is the awesome power of pure repetition. You say it enough and you will come to believe it. I think Tara is talking about the same thing essentially. If you meditate with a mantra, make it “I’m okay. I’m a good person.” Say it to yourself through out the day.
