I only had a chance to hear half of the amazing talk, i was just about to start on compassion and emotions. Did someone take any notes and would be interested in sharing them? I can share my notes of other talks in this series.: goldstein, simon, kornfield…. Congrats of this amazing summit !

I’m so upset I missed this presentation. Unexpected trip to the doctors and a late work night, i was too late. Melli, I am LOVING this summit! Thank you SO much for putting this all together. I have not missed a day! (Except Dy 15) 🙁 Blessings to all of you and many thanks to all the speakers. I am so grateful for all I am learning,
    LOVE from Boston.

I am unable to download the videos or audios of some of the soeKer. I have the full pass now. Please help. I love the whole program and it is very helpful. Thank you for the summit and speakers.

I had an insight during the meditation – realizing that the compassionate part of myself was always outwardly directed toward others, and that by focusing it back on my struggling self, it formed a full circle and filled me with love. What a wonderful connection to make.

    Thank you.

Hi! I also missed this talk due to work and was really looking forward to it. Would anyone mind sharing the video, the audio or even the notes? Do disappointed to have missed this one as it was probably the one I was looking forward to the most! Great summit and really loving the richness of all of the perspectives. Thanks for all your hard work Melli 🙂

Hi. In order to enjoy and not miss anything I decided to purchase the whole program. I have already relistened to two days of the Summit. The cost is actually a donation to some beautiful charities. If you are doing this with a partner that’s half the cost 🙂 🙂

P.S the videos/audios are not transferable. I tried to send one particular video to my son who lives in a different state than me and only the link to the Summit goes through.

I am really loving this summit. One of the best I’ve ever been to! 🙂 However, I don’t think 24 hours is enough for everyone. 48-72 hours would really give everyone enough time and still close it off soon enough. Many of us cannot afford to buy this series, even if we wish we could. I am on a senior’s pension and I imagine many others have limited income as well. When I miss a talk, I go to YouTube and see if I can find a talk by that person ~ but I would much rather see the summit. I love you and I love the summit (thank you for having it) but I just wanted to share my feelings. Thank you.

Yes! The science of the brain explains the experiences of quality of life, as influenced by our thought patterns and the mindset we choose to adopt, which governs our behaviors and relationships, with self and others. Paul Gilbert not only know and understands, but is also a highly effective communicator.

Love the concept of CFT! had a few technology issues with this – stopping and starting and I couldn’t tap into the meditation as it wouldn’t play at all. All good though the links to web sites etc are very helpful. Thank you Melli.
    Love and light

    I missed this too,
I would love to hear from anyone who heard something that resonated with them form Paul Gilbert’s Talk

I have read some of his book , The Compassionate Mind, and found it very helpful and his work has probably presently had the most influence in helping reduce the anxiety and fear I experience in my own life.
So I am dissapointed I missed it and would be interested to hear anything that anyone heard.

    Thanks

Was really looking forward to seeing Paul Gilbert speak, as I’ve taken part in a group therapy based on his work for people with anxiety problems and have a few of his books. But I’ve not been coping well recently with my anxiety and depression (I think mainly due to due to losing track of the self compassionate and accepting side of being mindful, striving to not feel negative emotions, and fear of being content/not being anxious). So I’ve missed it because I’ve lost track due to my depression & anxiety this week. So disappointed!
But there has been some great speakers I have seen, so that is good 🙂 SHAMASH ALIDINA in particular was a great speaker, so enthusiastic and clear in communicating his thoughts and ideas.

Thank you Paul Gilbert for this wonderful presentation on our brains. Your kindness and compassion flow through your talk. There is such wealth of information here that is concrete and immediately applicable to our daily lives. I will listen to this one many times.

Melli, thank you over and over for finding such wonderful speakers and for creating a forum for us to hear them.

Thanks for the reminder about our parasympathetic nervous system–the soothing, calming mechanisms that we can tap into to bring more balance into our lives. Thanks so much.

Paul said at the end of his talk “I shall make another short video about the kinds of exercises that you can use in order to develop your compassionate self” – where is this talk accessed please? Many thanks 🙂

    1. colin robinson

Yes, I could not find the other short video about the kinds of exercises that can be used in order to develop one’s compassionate Self –
I am still looking for them !

  16. diarmuid denneny

Yes, is the video talk for the exercises downloadable? I’d like to be able to practice these offline if possible? Any advice greatly appreciated 🙂 Amazing summit, Thank you
